

JOB DESCRIPTION
Principal Responsibilities:

A. Facilities & Grounds
-
Basic duties include, but are not limited to, grounds keeping, basic construction and repair/renovation of new and existing buildings, painting, plumbing, electrical, concrete, sheet rock, vehicle and equipment maintenance, ropes course & recreation activity operations, HVAC, and water and sewer system upkeep.

Oversee snow removal for all roads, patios, sidewalks, pathways, and parking areas.

Oversee staff and volunteers working on facility and grounds project. This includes working with the executive director in developing and maintaining a “master list” of projects to ensure completion of each in a timely manner and with excellence.

Coordinate the facility setup needed for events held at the campus.

Ensure all Big Canyon owned vehicles (cars & trucks, mowing equipment, UTVs, ATVs, golf carts, tractors and implements) are maintained.

Assist with tours, special guest visits, and other things occurring at the campus as requested.

Assist with budget and expense management for the camp.
B. Group Coordination
-
Set-up and tear down of meeting rooms (i.e. custodial work, set-up chairs, tables, and other equipment).

Set-up and orient groups to audiovisual equipment. May operate audiovisual equipment for groups.

Greet groups and give large group orientation of camp.

Be available to assist guests with needs during their stay including answering guest calls and any questions or needs during their stay. Be present at meals and other touch points.

Inspect for damage upon departure and enter information into the maintenance work order system, know the status of repair, and follow through until completion of the work order.

Must have an active, growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

A mission minded, servant attitude required. While position will strive to have normal working hours as much as possible, at times being on call for emergency needs is necessary, especially when winter weather requires or guests are on site.

Proven experience in general maintenance skills.

Detail oriented with a desire for excellence.

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to work in a team environment with staff and volunteers.

Organized and self-motivated

Relocation to on-site housing (provided by BCR) required or must live within 15 minutes of the BCR property. Shared housing (single only) may be necessary during busy summer season.
BENEFITS​

Full time salaried position starting at $2,000-2,500/month (assumes housing included), depending on experience and qualifications.

Starting salary may be more if BCR is not providing housing.
